The House of Horrors: Ariel Castro kept the three women captive in his unassuming suburban home
Knight said she was only given one shower in a year and that Castro withheld clothes and blankets from her. She said she was raped, hit, whipped, choked and was made to go to the bathroom in a bucket. Knight told the psychologist host, Phil McGraw, that she wore that helmet for the first three weeks in the house. Knight said she was forced her to wear a motorcycle helmet while in the basement which made it hard for her to breathe and ultimately caused her to pass out.
Little did she know she would be held captive in his Cleveland home for more than ten years. Knight sad Castro told her, 'You're only going to be here as a friend, that's it. 'This is where you're going to stay until I can trust you,' Knight says she was told by Castro. Knight said she was later untied, taken to the basement of the home and chained around the neck to a pole. Traumatized: Things became so bad at one point, she begged the other girls to let her die, but it was thoughts of her son that got her through the nightmare
